Principal’s Message

Dear Families,

I hope this message finds you well! It was so great seeing so many of you during our distribution days and in virtual orientation. Thank you for all of your patience and support throughout the first week of school. The teachers have been working extremely hard throughout the past couple of weeks to make this virtual learning environment the best that it can be!

I’ve been extremely impressed to witness the enthusiasm, engagement, and eagerness to learn from our scholars across the school. Keep up the fantastic work!

After reflecting this week, here a few things that will help continue to make this transition even better:

1. Please make sure that you are encouraging your child to solve a question or problem on their own throughout the lesson. We want to make sure each child has the opportunity to think for themselves. This will also help inform the teacher if things need to be revisited during their office hours.

2. If you have a question for your child’s teacher during the day, we encourage you to reach out to them via email. Once their instructional time has ended, they will have the opportunity to respond to any clarifying questions you have. If something is urgent throughout the day, please do not hesitate to reach out to the office, where Ms. Nicolette or myself can help assist. We want to make sure that teachers can give your child their undivided attention to ensure we are completing our instructional goals for the day.

Also, we will continue with Weekly Food Distribution in the cafeteria every Friday from 10:30-2:30 PM. Please enter using the side door.

Thank you for your support!

Stay well!

Ms. McKenzie
